 Working collectively to re-think and act on the militarisation and securit
 isation of the spaces that we occupy in society.[/caption]\nWhy Take Actio
 n?\nOne of the world's largest arms fairs\, DSEI\, is returning to London 
 this September. We're planning to shut it down!\n\nThis year at Conference
  at the Gates (CATG)\, we’re focusing on understanding and resisting DSE
 I collectively: we want this fight to be a collective one\; we want the ar
 ms trade to be exposed for what it is – a system that upholds racist\, c
 olonial\, patriarchal\, oppressive systems whilst it demands various oppre
 ssions to continue.\n\nJoin us on Thursday 5th September we're we'll be wo
 rking collectively to re-think and act on the militarisation and securitis
 ation of the spaces that we occupy in society and the consequential impact
 s.\n\nCATG this year will be focused on the arms trade specifically in the
  context of state violence\, shedding light on the issue of race that has 
 for far too long been ignored. It will be an opportunity to (un)/learn fro
 m + with community organisers\, youth\, students and academics - protestin
 g whilst sharing knowledge &amp\; showcasing that knowledge and power are 
 not exclusive to seminars at universities and the traditional academic bub
 ble.\nWhat's Happening?\nThere'll be workshops\, panels\, skill shares and
