DESCRIPTION:Want to support people taking action at DSEI by Legal Observing
  on site? Green and Black Cross are offering you an opportunity to do just
  that on the 27th August\, just in time for DSEI!\n\nIf you haven't alread
 y trained as a Legal Observer\, this is your chance. If you would like a r
 efresher to prep your mind for DSEI\, this will be a good opportunity.\n\n

  Legal Observer?\nYou’ll often see legal observers at demonstrations wea
 ring bright orange bibs marked “Legal Observer”. Despite having no off
 icial status\, legal observers have a role recognised by bodies from the C
 ourts to the United Nations.\nWhat does the training involve?\nThe GBC sta
 ndard Legal Observer training is very comprehensive\, covering:\n\n 	The G
 BC Key Messages - i.e. your rights while on a demonstration\n 	What the ro
 le of a Legal Observer is (and what it is not)\n 	How to observe\n 	Police
  tactics\n 	Stop and Search law and procedure\n 	What happens when someone
  is arrested and how to support as an LO\n 	How to get more involved with 
 GBC\n\nIf you’re an experienced activist there will be parts you know al
 ready\, but the depth we go into should give you more confidence and knowl
 edge of how to deal with the police. Whether you’re in a group or attend
 ing as an individual\, this extensive training offers you important skills
  to support activists.\n\nThere is more information about Legal Observers

 s Wolves Lane Horticultural and Garden Centre.\n\n\nIt is a 12 minute walk
  from Wood Green Underground station.\n\nOn GoogleMaps it says it is 'perm
 anently closed' but this is to the public: is an old garden centre with a 
 large meeting space.\n\nThe venue is wheelchair accessible and includes tw
 o wheelchair accessible toilets. If you need to drive to the site for acce
 ssibility reasons\, please let us know when you email to book your place.\
