Online training

Join the stop the arms fair legal support team for and online know your rights training!

This training will be held using the online video platform Zoom. It is crucial that you RSVP by email to say that we can send you a link to participate in the training.

This training will cover:

  • Five key bits of advice when going on a protest
  • What happens if you are arrested?
  • Laws commonly used on demonstrations
  • Q&A time- your legal questions answered!

When going on any protest, it is important for you to know your rights. This is so you can prepare yourself, and also act in solidarity with other people. The police are institutionally racist, and as a result, often people of colour are treated differently on demonstrations than white people. It’s important that you are aware of your rights and the rights of others, so that you can be prepared to challenge illegal or discriminatory behaviour.
